HOME PAGE: 2020 SCHEDULES

Schedules for 2020 baseball games in the Brooklyn BBB Leagues are published on this site in advance of setting the exact number of district ballclubs that will be participating in the full six-month season. Although the balanced schedule requires that there must be the same number of ballclubs in each BBB league, 2020 games can be played with all eighteen district ballclubs or as few as four. Brooklyn baseball teams - or teams to be - are currently sought to fill any and all of the above eighteen district ballclub slots for 2020.

The schedule has been used in several seasons of BBB play in Brooklyn and consists of four separate Rounds of play:

Round 1 - Opening Days: a ten week period at the begining of the 2020 season in April during which time every participating district ballclub plays every other ballclub once.

Round 2 - League Series: a six-week period starting in mid-June when each Atlantic League ballclub plays a three-game series with each of the other Atlantic League ballclubs and each of the Bedford League Ballclubs plays a three-game series with each of the other Bedford League ballclubs.

Round 3 - InterLeague Play: an intense four-week mid-summer period starting in late July when each of the Atlantic League ballclubs plays a three-game series with each of the Bedford League ballclubs (and vice-versa).

Round 4 - Pennant Races: With post-season championship series based on the final standings in the Atlantic league and Bedford League, the final six weeks of the season from late August through the end of September is used for each ballclub to play a pair of home and away two-game sets with each of the other teams in it own league in head-to-head competition for final standings and the legaue "pennant."

The number of scheduled games per ballclub and the total number of games scheduled to be played round by round will vary with the number of participating district ballclubs as summarized in the tables below.

With a very small number of district ballclubs participating (4, 6, 8) it is likely that additional games will be added to this schedule. The very large number of games in September when 18 or 16 district ballclubs are participating assumes that other parts of the very large BBB rosters become eligible to play in September.
